Herewith a sighting of a cricket frog, Acris crepitans, along the Slitstone Trail at the Jefferson Memorial Forest.Jefferson Memorial Forest, all 6,191 acres of it, lies entirely within the city limits of Louisville. It is 15 minutes from downtown. A quick sprint along any of the Forest's hiking trails will convince you that this is some of the best urban recreation in the country.
